He has been in business for 20 years and has served on the Council of the Northern Ireland Chamber of Commerce and Industry, The Council of The Coleraine Borough Chamber of Commerce and Industry, The Northern Ireland Business Alliance Further Education Forum, the Skills sub group of the Economic Development Forum for Northern Ireland and a number of other organisations.

He is a contributing editor to several trade publications and is regularly interviewed in Irish newspapers and radio. He has appeared on all the island's television stations.
